Can My Kid Still Get Treatment? Why Autism's Definition Matters

This will become a big deal for millions of those previously diagnosed with Autism. I believe over the last 20 years, the definition of "Autism" has changed significantly, it broadened to include other things such as Asperger's Syndrome. A great many children that most of us would consider to be "normal" have been classified with with one of the many forms of Autism that have been defined over the last generation.

Right, wrong, or indifferent, lots of people are gonna be affected by this change. I think my son will still qualify, though. He does not read, write, or talk. He will probably never be a productive part of society. He will always require living assistance.
